Manuka Honey

Mānuka Honey

Sourced from the hives of bees who feed off nectar from the Mānuka plant, Mānuka Honey offers many benefits for both general health and skin.

With incredible antibacterial properties due to the presence of naturally occurring methylglyoxal, Mānuka Honey is a brilliant blemish fighter. A natural humectant, Mānuka Honey also draws moisture into the skin while promoting new skin cell generation.

Mānuka Oil 

Derived from the Mānuka Tree, Mānuka Oil is full of triketones and flavenoids and is known for its incredible antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Used by Māori communities for centuries to treat burns, relieve itchiness and pain, Mānuka Oil is a really special, multi-purpose native ingredient. Mānuka oil is steam-distilled to preserve its natural enzymes and compounds.

Harakeke

Regularly found along New Zealand coastlines, Harakeke, which is also known as Flax, has had practical, cultural and medicinal significance for Māori communities for many years.

Traditionally used to weave baskets and craft tools, anti-inflammatory Harakeke Seed Oil also offers many skincare benefits; hydrating, targeting acne, soothing irritation and promoting new skin cell generation.

Kawakawa:

With beautiful and distinctive heart-shaped leaves, Kawakawa has been used to relieve stomach pains and treat kidney issues by Māori for centuries.

Anti-inflammatory and naturally healing, Kawakawa strengthens and soothes while promoting circulation. This hydrating botanical offers a balancing effect to the skin, making it perfect for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Sweet Almond Oil

With roots in Ayurvedic medicine, Almond Oil has been used for centuries to treat dry skin.

Extracted from raw almonds, anti-inflammatory Almond Oil is rich in Vitamin E, fatty acids and nourishing proteins, and offers many healing benefits to the skin, reducing irritation, evening the skin tone and protecting from environmental stressors.

Aloe Vera

Said to have been used in the youth-enhancing bathing rituals of Cleopatra and Nefertiti, Aloe Vera’s hydrating and healing benefits have been revered for centuries.

Comprised of 90% water, this cooling gel relieves irritation, targets acne and scarring, and promotes collagen production. High in salicylic acid, Aloe Vera is also an effective natural exfoliant.

Carrot Seed Oil

Distilled from the seeds of the Wild Carrot Plant, this ultra-regenerative oil was traditionally used to ease soothe inflammation and treat indigestion.

Promoting new skin cell generation, Carrot Seed Oil is a known healer and is used to target hyper-pigmentation or dark spots, brighten, smooth and repair damage from environmental stress.

Tamanu Oil

Also referred to as ‘green gold’, Tamanu oil is extracted from the fruit of the Tamanu Nut tree; a tropical botanical native typically found in Polynesia and South East Asia.  

Traditionally used to soothe burns, cuts and scrapes, this deep green oil is rich in oleic and linoleic acids, making it an ultra-nourishing hydrator. Antioxidant-rich, Tamanu Oil also helps to protect the skin from environmental damage while promoting collagen production.

White Clay

Rich in the mineral Silica, White Clay offers gentle exfoliation and cleansing benefits while drawing out toxins and impurities.

This mild, soothing clay absorbs excess oil to combat blemishes and acne while soothing sensitive or reactive skin types.

Chamomile

Hypoallergenic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, Chamomile has been used as an ingredient in skincare for thousands of years - hieroglyphics tell stories of its use in the beauty regimes of Ancient Egyptian noblewomen. A known skin-soother, Chamomile calms sensitive or reactive skin, reducing redness and breakouts.

Jojoba 

Although commonly referred to as an oil, Jojoba is actually a wax ester derived from the Jojoba plant; a shrub which grows in desert climates. Due to its molecular similarity to the skin’s own natural oils (sebum), Jojoba helps to balance oil production while deeply hydrating and calming irritation.

Shea Butter

Extracted from the nut of the African Shea Tree, Shea Butter offers incredible hydrating benefits due to a high concentration of essential fatty acids.

Non-comedogenic, Shea Butter won’t clog pores while providing incredible nourishment.

Kumarahou

Also known as Golden Tainui or Gum Diggers soap, Kūmarahou is endemic to Northland and the Bay of Plenty.

With a high saponin content, Kūmarahou flowers has a natural foaming effect, offering deep cleansing benefits to the skin. Antimicrobial, Kūmarahou also helps to clear blemishes and detoxify the skin.⁣
